Meeting of here top parties inconclusive

Kathmandu, 19 April: A meeting of the country’s three biggest parties to find a way to promulgate a constitution by the 28 May deadline was inconclusive Monday.
Parliament and constituent assembly Chairman Subash Nemwang convened the meeting.
An extended meting of the UML parliamentary party Monday concluded a constitution won’t be promulgated by the deadline and called for a national consensus to extend the tenure of the assembly.
Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal complained at the meeting his government wasn’t receiving support from the party amid calls from some partymembers for the resignation of the government.
Maoist parliamentary party meeting Monday demanded the resignation of the prime minister.
The resignation has been a consistent demand of Maoists.
Maoists said a the peace process can be concluded and a constitution can be promulgated by a government led by it.
There’s no such possibility because of differences on fundamental principles between major political players.
