Emergency army chief meet with OM, president and defence minister; assurance army won’t support unconstitutional moves

Kathmandu, 30 Nov: Army Chief Gen Chatraman Singh Gurung Saturday held separate emergency meetings with Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, President Dr Ram Baran Yadav and Defence Minister Bidya Bhandari, Jana Bhawana reports.
After a video tape of the meeting between Prachanda and Girija Prasad Koirala laws made public, army has taken the matter seriously and held consultations.
During the meetings, the army chief told them the army won’t support any unconstitutional moves saying reliable information
have come out of the Singapore meet.
The chief assured it will fulfill its constitutional responsibility by carrying out orders of the constitutional government.
The move of the chief is being appreciated and is also being interpreted as a a serious warning to Prachanda and Girija.
